Visalia is located in the central part of California, between Bakersfield and Fresno. Visalia is near many of California's most famous attractions. It is about a 2 hour drive to the Pacific Ocean from Visalia. Also, located at the base of the Sierra Nevada range makes it only a 1 1/2 hour drive to the Giant Sequoia National ark and a 2 1/2 hour drive to Yosemite National Park. Visalia is a great location to sample California's diversity. Visalia's visitor's bureau has a great website for more information on the community and activities.
The main campus is located at 915 S. Mooney Blvd. All college services including library, counseling and financial aid are located at the Visalia main campus. Most general education classes for the associate degree program are conducted at the main campus in Visalia. Aeronautics courses are conducted at the Tulare Flight Training Campus.
While all the general education classes are generally taught at the main Visalia campus, the flight training base is conducted for lecture and lab. All flight training courses are conducted at the college flight training base at the Tulare municipal airport. Students will attend regular scheduled classes at the main campus and flight training in the aircraft will be conducted at the flight training base. Classes conducted at the airport base are noted in the schedule as "BLUESKY".
