AERO 215 Minimize

 
  AERO 215 CERTFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTION CERTIFICATE

 

Description
 
The flight instructor course will give the student the necessary skills and training leading to issuance of both the certified flight instructor and instrument instructor FAA certificate. 
 
Course Objective
 
The student will obtain the aeronautical knowledge and experience necessary to meet the Federal Aviation Administration Requirements for the issuance of a Flight Instructor Certificate and Flight Instructor with an Instrument Rating Certificate. 
 
Eligibility for enrollment
  • A person must hold at least a 3rd class medical certificate prior to enrolling in the flight portion of the Flight Instructor Certification Course.
  • Must have completed the Advanced Commercial Pilot Certification Course.
  • Must be at-least 18 years of age at end of course
  • Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language. 
  •  

    Have a current and valid commercial pilot certificate – airplane
  • Have a current and valid instrument pilot certificate – airplane
  • Have logged at least 190 hours in a airplane - SEL.
 
 
 
Aeronautical Knowledge Training
96 hours of ground training in the following subjects:
           
1.      Applicable Federal Aviation Regulations for flight instructor and instrument instructor
2.      Fundamentals Of Instructing
3.      Teaching Methodes
4.      Endorsements
5.      Lesson Plans
6.      Instructor tools
7.      Flight Instructor decision Making
8.      Flight Instructor Emergency Procedures
 
Flight Training
 
52 Hours Total
32 Dual (Instruction Given)
16 (Instructor preflight briefing and post flight critique and evaluation)
10   Solo
 
 
Completion Standard
 
The student MUST demonstrate through written tests, practical tests, and appropriate records, that he/she meets the knowledge, skill, and experience requirements necessary to obtain a Flight Instructor Certificate and Flight Instructor with an instrument rating. Each student must satisfactorily complete an oral and practical exam conducted by the FAA (Or Designated Representative).
