Cos Aviation and Blue Sky Aviation are proud to announce the start of January 2010 the addition of a airplane training program. Whether you looking to get your private pilots license for weekend get aways, cut your business trip times in half, trips to the coast with friends and family for dinner or a quick golf game, or maybe the start of a new career as an airline pilot, COS offers a course that will make your dreams a reality.
The initial training offered through COS will be a private, instrument rating in our Cessna 172. After completion of this program you will be license as a private pilot with an instrument rating. Statistics show that accident rates among pilots literally drop in half once the pilot becomes instrument rated. Therefore, we have decided to combine these courses to provide our students with the best training and safety that they can receive.
Maybe your interested in aviation as a career and are looking to begin working with the airlines or commuter operations, but have doubts due the current economic downturn we are experience. Rest assured that this to shall pass. The airline industry current move almost 700k people a year and and they’re projecting that by 2014-2015 they will be moving over 1 billion people a year. SO, what does that mean for you the beginner pilot, over the next few years the industry is going to be experiencing a large number of pilot shortages and the current airline captains begin to retire and the increase of demand continues to grow. In 2009, according to Plane and Pilot Magazine.com December 2009 issue, there was only 1 airpline pilot hired over the year where in years past the average hiring rate was 100 pilots per year. So as you can tell this is the beginning of a new era and we need pilots to help fill these slots and move on in the industry.
If you are interested in getting started with the airplane division of COS and Blue Sky Aviation, please conctact the recruiter. We look forward to hearing from!
